At Ott Counseling, LCSW, PLLC we provide trauma-informed individual and relationship counseling to clients within New York State in office and via telehealth.

My goal: to help my clients build resiliency, hope, and self-compassion, AND support clinicians by giving them space and support to provide high quality services and work towards their personal career goals.

My am honest, curious, and funny (per my own report).

I utilize a trauma-informed approach, drawing from multiple modalities (Progressive Counting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Dialetical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Trauma-Informed Therapy).

I specialize in Perinatal Mental Health, and working with infertility, pregnancy loss (miscarriages, stillbirths, terminations), Pregnancy/Postpartum mental health struggles and Trauma/PTSD treatment.

I provide general mental health counseling for:

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in gerontology from SUNY Oswego. I have my master’s degree in social work from University at Buffalo, as well as a certifications in Trauma-Informed Care & Counseling, Progressive Counting, EMDR, and Perinatal Mental Health. I also provide consultation and training for businesses and therapists.

I utilize: a compassionate, person centered approach. I genuinely care for my clients. Their strengths, hopes, dreams, and successes genuinely excite me. I know it takes a great deal of courage to come to therapy and open up about past trauma. It takes great deal of strength to move forward past obstacles, so everyone who has he courage to step into my office (or virtual office) impresses me!

I enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ community, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and dissociation.

I am trained in Progressive Counting and Internal Family Systems work for trauma treatment.

My specialization is relationship therapy. I am of the LGBTQ+ community myself. In relationship work, though I've spent roughly half of my life monogamous and half polyamorous. I hold both lifestyles in equal esteem and won't push you either direction. They both can be beautiful, loving, and legitimate. I am happy to help you make your relationship of choice work for you in a personalized way. I am NOT about taking sides, mediation of fights, or making compromises; rather, my hope is to help you understand each other better, help you reconnect and start communicating better, and open up possibilities you may not have considered.

I am: outgoing, welcoming, and compassionate.

I utilize: a trauma-informed approach including Progressive Counting, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.

I specialize in: Trauma and PTSD (childhood trauma, religious trauma, medical trauma, grief and loss).

I provide: Mental Health Counseling for trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship issues, eating disorders, and grief and loss.

I have: a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University. I am certified in Progressive Counting.

I have: Education and experience in both the mental health and administrative support fields. I a bachelor's degree in dance from the University at Buffalo, as well as a master's degree in mental health counseling from Canisius College. I genuinely enjoy interacting with and helping people.

My goal: is to ensuring the day to day needs of the practice are met while simultaneously supporting the long term goals of our therapists and their clients. It is my hope to assist all existing, new, and potential clientele with logistical support. I am here to listen and to learn about the individual needs of both the clients and therapists of Ott Counseling, and to reflect the mission and values of this practice. I am honored to be a part of such a diverse and dynamic group, and look forward to getting to know you!
