Hi! The first thing to know about me is that I practice what is called Unconditional Positive Regard- that is, I’ll respect you instantly for who you are, with all your strengths and quirks and flaws at the very first hello, and hold onto that respect, no matter what. You’ll never need to be someone you’re not when you’re with me, and I’ll never judge you or put you down. You truly matter to me. Also, I truly celebrate neurodiversity: I believe that what we call mental illness is really just mental difference, and confers its own strengths and beauty, if we take the time to find and build on those. I promise to see you as a person, not as a diagnosis or a problem.
My style is gentle, empathetic, very open-minded and a bit intellectual, and I love working with both individual and relationship concerns. I’m playful, weird, and a good listener, and I would be honored to talk to you about your crisis, your cats, and everything in between.
